Default Wheel and Tire setups

Hi everyone,
I have been doing a lot of wheel and tire R&D and I think it's very important for others to know what tires can be ran on their respective vehicles. I have a 2018 LS500 F Sport and I have been playing around with different setups. For my poem set up I run 245/45/20 in the front and 275/40/20 in the rear. When I go plus one to 21s, I was supposed to run 245/40/21 and 273/35/21 but I actually ran 255/40/21 and 285/35/21 with spacers. Now I'm testing the waters to go 21s all year round doing 265/40/21 and 295/35/21 with out running the spacers I feel as if the spacers will make the wheels too aggressive. I am interested in knowing everyone's spectate with different tire sizes to see what works and what doesn't work to give everyone some sense of comfort when choosing wheel and tire setups. Please let me know your thoughts.

Didn't the Toyota engineers determine this when they designed the car? Or doesn't that matter?

So when the average consumer puts 22's or 24's on their ride u think "the Toyota engineers" gave them the blueprint?

Currently I'm running 22" and the front tires are 255/35/22 and for the rear I'm running 315/30/22 with no rubbing issue's and this is all season tires although I don't really drive it in winter.

I bet your ride suffers greatly. And if you live in the Northeast or Michigan you go through tires like crazy.

Do you have any pics? I'm thinking of getting 21's or 22's for my 18 for F sport but going back forth cause of the tire size. I live in the NE and need some tire cushion.

Default Low rider knows every street, yeah Low rider is the one to meet

I’ll admit it does look cool, but I’m 78 and at times I have a little trouble exiting mine with OE 20s. Stock LS500 is pretty low.
Congratulations, you have a neat ride.

How often do you have blowouts and curb rash? After the cold winter here, those potholes are everywhere!

Knock on wood, never...I drive super careful and try to only drive roads or highways I know like the back of my hand. I try to use my wife's truck for long trips and daily errands. I've had 20s on my 5 GSs over the last 20 years with one pothole blowout in that timeframe and no issues with the LS on 22s over the last 3 years. I only use the bigger rims for spring and summer and go back to oem stocks for late fall and winter. The system has pretty much worked for me lol

Default 255/30/22 vs 245/45/20

Actually your setup lowers the car only .66 inches to be exact.
