Hit a significant pothole yesterday. Car tracks fine without the lane assist activated. When it is activated, the car now hugs the righthand lane marker. Seems like peculiar behavior. I would also expect the car to pull to either side when lane assist is not active. Anyone experience this?
Manual lists a bunch of things that can affect the lane keeping assist. My car wants to wander from side to side as if I were drunk if I lightly touch the wheel and let it do its thing. I like it okay on long interstate drives, but not on curvy roads. I could live without it.
You could ask the dealer to perform a LTA recalibration of the front cameras after describing the symptoms.
Better yet, if you have a dash cam, show them how it works with the video.
If you don't have a dash cam, have someone video you from a behind vehicle while using LTA.
I'm told by the service adviser that there is no adjustment for the LTA, unless the car has been in an accident or the front bumper has been damaged.
The link below is from someone with an ES that had same issue as you. There's a link within the link to follow.
Does not make sense that they can't reinitialize for you. Is your car under warranty?
