Default climatic problems

Hello guys,
I wonder if someone is familiar with startup climate control and how long it might take to be fixed. Because I am the one, who just sits and drives, I have no experience of how things go, when it comes to repairing something. I bought my LS 500h on 31.11.2021 and the car was on 15TKm with the first service done. I've been told the car has 10 years of warranty and 160TKm, whatever first. in the middle of February this year, the trouble with the climate control appeared and the Lexus dude made an appointment to repair the problem, but then after a while, the problem disappeared just to come some months later.BTW at the end of November last year, I made the other service on 30TKM according to the service maintenance of the vehicle. In August this year, the problem occurred again and until now it has existed. But the shock I got was The car, according to the dude in Lexus, Tenerife is that I didn't have a warranty from 26.03.2023 until the service I did on September 18.2023 -45TKm maintenance and also 1500km or one month after the service. Have anyone of you heard such crap and how this can be explained at all. Now I put the car in the service workshop to fix the problem on 07.12.2023 and until now I have been waiting for the car to be fixed! I will attach the bill which I am supposed to pay so one of you, please look at it and if you can, give me a competent opinion of why it takes so long to change the items and on which logic I must pay the bill, when I've done all the maintenance services so far. Thanks in advance and Marry Xmass to all of you

Unfortunately I can't comment on issues with the HVAC system in this car and if there are common problems. If I understand correctly, when you mentioned the air conditioner problems to the dealership, was the car in-warranty at that time? But when they repaired the AC the car is out-of-warranty?

I've had limited success over the years with Mazda and BMW to have them pay for a repair I told them about during warranty. I don't remember the BMW but the Mazda the transmission was shifting poorly in warranty, I complained several times, and the transmission failed just after the warranty and Mazda replaced the transmission no cost to me. I had to push a little bit but Mazda and the dealer fixed it for me.

Lexus is known for customer service, and you're driving their flagship car... I would suggest you talk to the dealership or Lexus directly, explain that you complained when the car was in-warranty, and ask for them to pay for the repair. Even if they don't pay for all of the cost, maybe you can make an agreement that you pay for the parts and Lexus pays for the labor cost?

Regarding the 10 years / 160,000km warranty... without knowing Lexus warranties for Tenerife / Spain / EU, my guess is that this warranty is probably only for the powertrain (engine, transmission), which does not include the Air Conditioning system. At least in the US we have a 4 year / 50,000 mile (80,000km) bumper-to-bumper warranty that covers everything on the car, including the air conditioning system.

As far as doing all scheduled maintenance, unfortunately this doesn't mean they cover problems that come after warranty is finished. If you decide to contact Lexus and ask them for a "goodwill" AC fix because you complained 2 times during warranty, maybe it would help to also tell them that you did all the scheduled maintenance Lexus suggests?

Hope maybe this helps you a bit. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply :-)
No one told me what includes the warranty, so thanks to you I will ask next time what is all about 10 years or 160TKm.the other thing is the car is usually sold with 3 years of warranty or 45TKm, but then if you make the annual service the warranty is prolonged until you stop doing the service or you reach the 10 years/160TKm. I've done all the services and the Lexus dude tells me I have warranty until 18.09.2024, but denying me the reparation of this climate servo motor...Lexus Spain/Madrid tells me I have a warranty and this shouldn't be paid by me, the local dude says I have to pay, though the first time the problem occurred, according to him, the car was under warranty...It is such a mess I hardly can find words to describe the situation. Never mind- I will write to Lexus Japan's central office and expose the situation to them. It isn't about the money, it is about how I do not have a warranty when I have done all the services.
