Looks black, but with heavy pearlescent. Only thing that worries me that it might be nearly impossible to match.
about 15 applications of Zaino Z-2 in the past 13 months that I have owned this car, been using Zaino for 23 years
No bad color on the LS500. All personal preference. No bad choices.
For me only one choice and it was Atomic Silver. “Liquid metal” is what my wife calls it.
Looks amazing at night.
My cars live outside and thus black is not a good choice for me. .
I have a 2019, but I believe 2018 had a retrofit apple carplay addition.
PGA, like myself I think have the Ottocast wireless dongle that just plugs into the console USB and in 12 seconds 90% of the time you get it wireless.
Works great! The other 10%? Can't explain it. But somtimes I have to unplug it and let it reboot. Its rare. And its no big deal
Yes I use the dongle for wireless carplay as @Nalod mentions above.
I find myself using the wire more these days as music from the phone sounds better this way and keeps my phone charged.
Our ‘02 is Parchment. It’s the only one I have ever seen, looks white in sunlight, takes on an almost khaki color in dimmer light. It also has pretty heavy pearlescent. 21 years old and never any paint or body work. Very pampered car that spends most of the time in a conditioned garage.

and gets 20 Zaino's per annum to keep her that way!
Those balloon tires and wheel gap!! MY goodness! LOL...
European versions of the LS500 don't have the retrofit option for reasons unknown.
I have not done a side by side wireless vs. wired. I run mostly with Tidal streaming service and do use Sirius via my phone app.
Not sure which Ottocast box PGA has and if there are choices to which one might have a better Bluetooth streaming vs another?
Content Bitrate of files might matter to sound output depending on the file playing.
On long trips I plug mine in but if streaming Waze and music I want to preserve my battery. Otherwise I stay wireless 90% of the time.
