What kind so battery life can I expect with my 3 year-old, 45,000 mile LS500?
AGM battery on my 2018 F150 surprisingly only lasted 3 years. Ford service advisor told me that was about average. Battery life on my Miatas with AGM located in trunk was about 8 years.
Am I going to wake up to a dead battery one morning with no warning?
Depends on how the battery is treated. Batteries that get flattened lose their life quicker, whilst those that never get drained below 50% will last longer. I would expect around 5 years and hope for more. If you're worried about waking up to a dead one then get one of those battery jump starters. Worth having one anyway, just in case.
I just changed my battery first time on my 2018 with 90k miles. No issues at all prior. I didn’t even know I needed it changed but it tested marginal on 90k service at the dealer.

My GS350 factory battery lasted 7 years and was garaged.
With your environmentally controlled garage, I would not be surprised if it lasted you 8-10 years.
I still have my original battery from when I got the car and I have about 59K on the odometer, and this is from 2018. I have had mine on a trickle charge though which might help it.

I have used Battery Tender Junior on previous cars that weren’t driven daily with good results. The battery being located in the trunk of the LS500 should help extend its life. If there was a way to install a quick connect/disconnect for the battery tender it would really help.
I've had batteries last 8-10 years, and some fail at less than 3. As a result I keep a portable jump starter in the car and don't give the battery, or it's age, a second thought. If ever need the jump starter for anything other than something dumb, like leaving the lights on, or if I get any signs that it's significantly weakened, then I'll change it. Otherwise I leave it be.
I have recently replaced the battery on my key fob. It was 2024 NX350h and i drive once weekly. It lasted 2.5 years before dead. Maxwell battery life is 5 years, go with a brand that lasts 10 years.

Show me a fob battery that lasts ten years. This thread discussing the 12v battery anyway.
I just replaced my battery on my 2020 LS-500 last week, and the car has 41,000 miles on it. Lexus uses Interstate Batteries, branded for Lexus. They told me they ONLY allow one specific battery to be used on the LS-500. Installed at the dealership because Interstate said they would NOT install a battery mounted in the trunk. Very disappointed but I wanted it done right, and power left on the car during change to keep all my pre-sets. I think I paid $320 out the door at a Dallas Lexus Dealership. Took them about an hour. I think I got my money's worth out of a five+ year old car.
