Don't buy it until you know the full extent of the issue. Growling and grinding will leave you stranded with a big expense.

Check brake rotors. If that car was parked for some times they might be rusty. If this is the case you can get away with rotors resurfacing, no big deal. I had similar issue when I was buying another car last year. Car was parked at the dealer for a few months and rotors got rusty. Drove it for a few hundred miles and noise went away. If rotors look good you might have a problem with the differential, check differential oil for any metal flakes. If you have any metal flakes in there, run away from that car. To get differential killed you have to abuse that car really bad. Might as well be a wheel bearing, you need to be on the lift to check that one out, see if wheel has any play side-to-side.

I have a video of it so you can hear it, but it will not let me post it here

The best way to find out what the issue is: take the car to a mechanic for a prepurchase inspection. They will test drive it and check for (computer) trouble codes as well as give the car a visual inspection.

Is the noise coming from the engine bay, wheels, etc. You only hear the noise when accelerating and not when idling? It could be the belt, tensioner or both and many other things if coming from the engine bay. Definitely have the noise checked out before you sign on the dotted line.

Don't ever buy a car if it's not up to your standards. Make the dealer or individual find and repair the issue. Don't play your cards so fast. Other vehicles will come along. They always do.

I don’t understand people who don’t get their cars checked out professionally before buying

It seems like we are getting troll like posts here lately. It may just be people with poor communication skills. Not being able to describe the issue is one thing but, not responding is just plain flakey.

No I get it. The car is dirt cheap, and they think they're getting it for a steal.
