I assume this is xenon and not triple beam led? B if you notice both beams are connected, moving one will move the other also it’s in the manual I also might have posted about it, check
Hi jdanielca, Thank you for your response. More info on my car, it is a 2016 Gen 4 with LED lights so could be different. What I have noticed is that the adjuster A on the photo operates two adjusters simultaneously??
oh i dont know about the 2016.... if its the triple beam i assume its the same as mine... do you have it on the car or off the car? i discovered they are connected.. by playing with it... if you have it off the car, it is easy enough to do... if its on the car you will need to insert a screwdriver into the funnel thing in B, if its off just use a tiny socket and go for the silver nut in B. I do remember that there is an amount of adjustment L and R and up and down... the adjustment is limited. if you need it to go down more you need to adjust the AFS sensor thing which is on some part of the suspension.. sorry i do not remember details you need to find that post of mine for possible details.
I can tell you if its off the car... just look very closely when you turn whichever screw and u will notice it travels in sorts of a clockwise and anticlocksie thing to move left and right and up and down it doesnt go directly left and right
Hi Thanks for that. The lamps I want to adjust are on the car. The one in the photo is a spare. I will have to experiment with that one and see what happens. Thanks for the info.
On my 2017 LS 460 I used adjuster "A" to adjust my headlights vertically. You have to insert long Phillips screwdriver in the gear at the base of the adjuster "A" as shown by the arrow. Also, manual is stating that you have to turn adjuster "B" the same amount of turns in the same direction. Not sure why, I didn't turn it at all and my headlights adjustment is right on the money and all the automation in the headlight is working correctly.
Hi BB9, Thanks for the info however my head lights I think are different to the LS460. The white plastic component A adjusts two separate adjusters simultaneously , the one you have indicated and another one (not visible in the pic), using an Allen key in the center hole which turns both. I am guessing this is because their are three lenses in mine compared to the LS460 two. Assuming A is for vertical movement B could be for horizontal left to right?? But what is C for? Which has a pic of a headlamp beam and 1.0% next to it.

Well, my LS 460 has 3 lenses in each headlight as well and on the back they look exactly as on the picture. That white component "A" is just a set of gears that connects things together. You can turn it with the Allen key from the back or you can turn it with the screwdriver from the side, result is the same. The only difference is the ease of access. As for the "C" adjuster, I believe it is for the 3rd lens, which is supposed to be the "Near Infrared Illuminator" used for the camera sensors (if you have these two optional extra cameras on your windshield). It shouldn't be touched by the user, that's why it is covered.
