Default 2008 LS600h C1761 DTC

Hello all. Since I had my 08 LS I have noticed the driver's side rear suspension sitting about 0.5-1.0" lower than the passenger side. I have never had any issues with a rough ride. Switching between suspension modes causes noticable changes in the ride. The compressor works well and when I press "Height High" and it raises the front end. I decided to scan for codes and it came up with the C1761 - suspension control ecu malfunction. Could this be the result of a leak or something possibly with the ECU controller? I couldn't find a lot of information online so any help in where to start looking or what to test would be helpful. Thank you!

Hi Matty, C1761 mean that the car is trying to reach the correct height but is not able to do so after 3 minutes. While the source could be various components I would definitely look for a leak first as the most likely scenario would be the air compressor pumping air continuously for 3 minutes and after the vehicle failed to reach the correct height it shut down throwing a code. I think you may need to clear the code for the compressor to start again in order to inspect the leak. I would also inspect the various height sensors.
Good luck
