ML Audio - 07-09 vs 10-12 Differences

ML Audio - 07-09 vs 10-12 Differences
I have been reading several threads from years past on this forum that the LS460 10-12 ML audio was downgraded and actually got worse (in terms of quality, not tech), is this true? Has anyone hear listened to or owned both in an LS460 that can comment on the changes?
I have ML audio as a must have and am curious how much you lose in terms of audio quality if I stick with a 10-12 model year?
Also a few questions for those in the know:
1. Is there a simple (ish) upgrade to the ML? (i.e. new sub, etc) I will not replace the head unit or anything like that.
2. What features do you gain in the ML audio system in 10-12 versus 07-09 (i.e. USB, easier streaming, transferring files to the HDD, etc)
3. Is the primary difference in the two revisions in the sub, watts, volume, clarity or something else?
