I have an ls460. The other day i was driving and got off the highway. As i was exiting my car suddenly lost power. The car still ran but when stepping on the gas it barley went. So i pulled over and it was idling pretty heavy. And check engine light popped on. I drove it to autozone again stepping on the gas and hardly getting acceleration and they gave me codes. One was for cam position sensor which i fixed. But im having trouble with code p0300. Its said a variety of things. Any ideas where to start? Or should i tow to a shop?
If you have a code reader that supports misfire monitoring, you can monitor what cylinder misfire. It will narrow down to what engine bank is causing the issue.
How did you fix the the cam positions error? Have you reset the codes after you fixed the cam issue?
Techstream software is the standard to properly diagnose. Someone who specializes in Toyota and Lexus should have this. Lexus dealers are likely to run your bill up with high rates and poor diagnostic practices.
I have a generic reader that can monitor misfiring. I used it to pinpoint which of my injectors seals was leaking. It worked just fine. Of course, Techstream is going to be better but sometimes it is not necessary.

We're both correct. But, if you're trying to help him instead of addressing my post, why not give the name of your reader?
Well, for one they do not make it anymore so I am not sure how useful a particular device is going to be. I got an Actron car reader similar to one used in this video -
