It may sound silly, but, honestly I’m thankful to own an LS 460….rewarding every time I drive it.
feel same?

It DOESN'T sound silly at all. I think with anything in life, you get used to things and sometimes stop noticing or appreciating the good things (getting deep). Lol. But it pops in my head every couple months or so, "damn, I'm so happy with my car!!"

Never gives me a problem. Just regular maintenance + control arms. Haha. just smooth, subtle power, elegance, class, solidly built. And the thing runs the exact same as when I had it at 60,000 miles as it does now at 115,000.

So no, not silly at all. 😃

For sure. Like the poster said above, we tend to take things for granted. And I have found this to be especially true with cars. I've only had my LS for a little over a month (my first Lexus ever) and I'm already starting to forget what my old Camry -- which I drove for 11 years -- was like. I think it's important to sometimes remind ourselves we are fortunate to have so many great options out there and to be able to afford cars that make us happy. I have a tendency to nitpick on the small things I don't like about the LS when I really should be thinking about the so many amazing things I love about it.

Having owned 23 cars in my Lifetime my LS is the best car I have ever driven. It has great road manners and is very comfortable, especially on long distance trips. Being a 2011, it amazes me when I have to look at the tach while idling to make sure the car is running!
When it comes to my LS; “gratitude is my attitude.”

Silly? Tosh. It's the truth. LS is just so damn good. Best car to own and love. If we talk pre-13 LS4s - those are just amazing. I can only compare ride in my current '11 to '20 audi a8 and perhaps W221, but those are hell to own. Hell. Hell. HELL

Everyday I love that M Levinson stereo and that all the electric gadgets still work after 14 yrs. I also sometimes can't hear if it's running or not.

I enjoy both of mine quite a lot, I also own a very old, 300k mile Jeep I use as a utility truck that does very well to remind me just how good the LSs are.

One element of delight, for me, is how dedicated brand leadership is to customer satisfaction. I’m astounded that when the defect in interior plastics surfaced, even after 10 years of ownership, they agree to replace the door panels, dashboard at their expense (!)…..I’ve never been witness to any brand demonstrating their integrity like this…just amazing! My ten year old car looks brand new

Yes on grateful. Drove back from Las Vegas to San Juan Capistrano last evening. 296 miles. 3 hours and 45 minutes and 27.8 mpg.

this car is really a freeway flyer. Wants to “go.” Quiet inside at the century mark.

front suspension links are all worn. $1500 to $4k(dealer) to replace them. Been worn since we got the car at 54k miles. 118k miles now, not replaced.

Tires wear not perfectly across and on grooved freeway lanes at the century mark the car wanders just a bit but hardly noticeable.

Amazing base model car. As someone noted you have to look at the tach to see if the motors running.

slight a/c slow leak. Brakes pulse a bit when warm.

it’s my “driver”

Your situation shows that even with some issues that most folks here discuss a lot, you've managed to enjoy your car. For folks that want everything perfect, that's OK, but not absolutely necessary.

Rough and tumble, like a proper daily.

Was a car salesman a million years ago. Had a new demo every week for three years. Specially ordered by me. Put the car out for sale in front on Saturday. My old customers said “why is your demo for sale? “Ashtray was full and the fuel tank was empty.” I smoke then and the dealer fillled the tank with a new demo. Why? The dealer got 5% back on invoice for putting a car in demo service. A 77 caprice was $7734 window sticker. $6600 invoice? So dealer made $330 every week. Plus a profit on the demo as I ordered the correct cars.

fast forward 40 plus years. Does it drive well? Safe? Quiet. No demos anymore.

None of those cars drove like the ls or sc. but that WAS 40 years ago

Once and a while I used to pull into my garage at the end of a long day, shut my LS460 off and then say, damn this is a hell of car. And just appreciate it. I miss that car.
