Did lexus improve the road noise and cabin quietness inside the car from 2007 thru 2017?

Or has it always been the same?

The LS460s and LS600s are exceptionally quiet cars as to wind noise and road noise, when all is well.

But, a large number of cars have had problems in that regard, many related to a single item.

A search of this forum will show more than 75 threads with the term "wind noise" in their title. And of the top 15 most viewed threads in the forum, 3 have the term "wind noise" in their title.

Our 08 had a folded over outer window rubber gasket down in the door panel. You could see it looking down into the door panel with the glass down.

$500 later the dealer replaced the gasket. Noise gone.

Some have resealed the sat antenna on the roof.

ours is very quiet.

They made little improvements as they went along. The newer the car, the better it will be.

I recall they added laminated glass to the front doors very late in the 2007 model year.
