They are paper filters and fram and Bosch etc will be similar quality wise, theres no such thing as a certain amount of km/miles for air filters, you should check them every so often, here where I live it’s super dusty so they don’t last as long I think 6 months I change them out.
thanks for the feedback on the Bosch HEPA filter. How well does it filter out diesel stank? Does it slow down the air flow from the vents a lot?

I went with Tom's Super Ram II filters and the difference in acceleration response was night and day. Maybe my old filters (Denso paper filters) were long overdue for change but it was obvious that the Tom's filters have very good flow rate and aren't covered in oil like K&N.

those look pretty cool haha. How much each? I may try next time if they aren’t too pricey vs the 8.50$ ones I got lol

Yeah they were slightly more than 8.50 each. They are $235.43 USD for a pair. But like all performance mods you get what you pay for. I'll bet that these are one of the best filters on the market.

If you want the very best flow rate and acceleration, remove the filter altogether!

Ideally we can find a filter with a good balance between flow rate and particulate removal. The Tom's looks cool, but that shouldn't factor into ones filter selection.

Well said. And remember....the cool looks and high price tag can sometimes greatly enhance the butt dyno. LOL
