@naterdee Do note that I’m not in the US, or are you referring to prices in the UAE where I am located?

I had a 2007 ls 460 and now have a 2014 LS 460L both great cars i prefer the 2014 after a minute you get the hang of the remote control for the instruments!

I’m considering buying one of the two following options and would appreciate your advice:
1. 2014 LS 460 with 128,000 miles (US spec car) for USD 24,000
2. 2008 LS 460 with 60,000 miles (Korean spec car, I’ve converted the km into miles for this post) for USD 10,000

Both cars are in very good condition, fully loaded with ML sound system and I’ve had the mileage and condition verified for both.

I know it’s a bit of a strange comparison and pricing is obviously different here vs the US, but I’d like to check what everyone’s thoughts are on the saving of $14K if I get the much older car with very low mileage. A consideration is as well the fact that the Korean spec cars have km speedometer and Celsius AC, so easier for us to use on a daily basis. A trade off in the 2008 would be the need to use a Bluetooth adapter to be able to listen to music from the iPhone.
If the older car was 2010,11,or12, then go for it. Avoid LS460 from 07 to 09 as they all have sticky dash and door panel issues. The recall /replacement program offered by Lexus might be expiring soon. Especially, you're in the gulf states. The sun is going to eat up you car interior. The controls placement between 12 and 13 are totally different. Most owners including myself prefer the cockpit layout of pre-13. Even Consumer Report agrees with this sentiment. I own a 13, but I had driven a 2011. Personally, I prefer everything about the pre-13 style in and out. So, you've got my unbiased personal opinion.

I would caution you against making statements about what "most owners" prefer. You prefer it, and thats fine.
