Leather dashboard
Good morning,
does anyone have any info on where I may be able to purchase a new/used black leather dashboard? The one
in my vehicle is currently ripping in several places.
TIA

I am not sure if you are aware but you need to find a seller who is parting LS600HL even if they don't have the dash listed. Contact the seller and ask if the dash is available for sale. It worked for me in the past.

Good suggestions from the others, but have you also considered just getting the damage repaired by an auto upholsterer? I imagine it will be a major task to swap out the old for the "new" dash with potential for introducing rattles. I have been tempted to get a quote for wrapping my 460L dash in leather, but I wonder if the upholsterer would have to remove the dash to do the work...
The leather dash on my LS600hL has shrunk around the speaker grilles and is starting to rip/crack. Went to a few auto upholstery places and they all said the complete dash would have to be removed, recovered and then refitted. This is a common issue on Ferrari's, Jaguar's and other high end car's with leather dashboards here in Australia. They all said that if I was to get the dash re-done, it was bound to happen again with the temperatures we get here in summer

That's what I was thinking, like just a trim piece or something... But could never fully visualize what, or where to get them made. The unfortunate thing is that the standard sticky dash on the LS460's was recalled and replaced. Yet the leather shrinking and cracking on the LS600hL's is "too bad, too sad". Its really a sore point I have with Lexus. It is really shameful, specially on their flagship vehicle... Its the one thing on my car I am really disappointed with.
