Default What systems control cruise control ?

I just read that the jap sec and euro spec 2097 have all speed and up from 30kph respectively which is quite useful for me but I can’t seem to find a cruise control ecu or find out what parts i need to swap out to gain this feature can’t be that hard

Cruise control is most likely controlled by the main ECU as it requires connection and feedback from majority of the systems.

I heard it runs with a vacuum system, not sure about the LS
somehow, this vacuum pressure holds a second throttle until the brake is pressed?

DSU (Driving Support Unit)

Might not be as easy as a swap without triggering codes though

The hybrids looked to always be able to do this as all of them seemed to ship with certain precrash bits like the stereo camera and object recognition ECU. 2013+ all seem to have the stereo camera mounted even without the APCS option which I would assume is what gives them all speed cruise control. As long as you have radar cruise you have the driver assist ECU, I'm wondering if I retrofit the camera, recognition ECU, would I be able to gain all speed cruise somehow. I better start surfing the comma AI wiki and take a CAN training course.

to get commas ai to work I think you need APCS. There’s a Thread about it o have not had the chance to see if I have the required wire in the trunk

I know for a fact that you can add a radar cruise control by just swapping a driver support unit and installing the radar. Regarding the all speed feature that works in together with the stereoscopic camera which uses the object recognition ECU. So you need to already have APCS.

Was it you that started the thread about the APCS? I need to have a look at that again. Looks like it might be a worth while mod if possible just because it lets you do so much more.
