Post a picture of the damage. Then we can tell if it can even be fixed. If it looks like white crackling it can't be fixed, it has to be sanded and resprayed, re cleared again.

just try the method I stated you will get great results

there is always 100 opinions for everything but the products and info we shared should work unless there is paint removed .
good luck

For protection, this sealant is great, bird bombs just wash away and it lasts through MN winters. Finish Kare BWM1000P .

Most important aspect here will be what machine OP is using in conjunction with proper pads and product and how severe the etching is. Only so much can be done. Would be great to see before and after pics if you attempt.

I found a video on You Tube which demonstrates a technique to remove etching damage...in which a heat gun or hair dryer “refloats the paint”....simple as heating the damage for 10-15 seconds then polishing with towel.
‘naturally vigilence required so not to overheat the surface

Anyone every try that?

im getting the sense you should bring the car to a professional detailer and not touch the paint

Again, you should post pictures of what you are talking about/damage for us to be able to answer your question more accurately.

sometimes just a claybar can do wonders in picking that up.

Here is a picture of the damage, kind of looks like a dried water stain. Not severe. Does this help diagnose the way forward..?? Thank you

hi thanks for the photos. the photo you sent above the flash light looks possibly like the paint is removed from those lines.

if you follow my procedure your paint will be transformed even if its not perfect.

also I don't know if you plan on using the ceramic coating but using the car pro uk 3.0 will dramatically improve the filling in of the area even if it didnt come out with polishing.

the microfiber and cut max will do wonders with that color.. then do orange pad with cut max, then perfect finish with white pad

first wash, and clay it with clay lube.

good luck beautiful color you will be happy with the products suggested

Finally got around to trying out my Sonax Cutmax that I bought some time ago. Did a customers 2010 Camaro (one step polish) that had 4 spots where bird poop etched the paint. My orange pad and correcting compound wasn’t touching it, so I went to a 3” microfiber pad and cut max - 3 passes on the section and POOF. They were gone 👍🏻

from a user on the video I sent, not my review
