Default How to remove console sunshade switch

I recently pushed the rear sunshade button on my 2008 LS 460 and it stuck in the down position. It may need to be cleaned. How do I remove that switch? Don’t want to scratch everything as I try to figure it out. I would greatly appreciate any information on that. Thank you in advance!

You need to remove the wood-trimmed panel on the centre console, the one with the button. Here's a video that walks you through the necessary steps:

At 1:19, there's a fairly clear shot of the underside of the switch pack. No idea how difficult it is to dismantle for cleaning, unfortunately.

Thank you for the information. I actually watched this video a couple of days ago and got some good ideas. At 1:19 in the video where he turns the console over, you will see a white rectangle of switches with the number "3" on it. This is what I am unsure about. Can this white rectangle come out? Other than the screws holding it in, what is keeping it in there? I ask because I removed the screws and tried to pry it out but it wouldn't budge. Is there something that I'm missing?

While I have removed the centre console at least twice (once to repair the cup holder lid, then to install the Yatour MP3 player), unfortunately I haven't looked at the switch pack. I'd presume it's just the screws.

Try looking on EBAY. There is one listed with photos at 2007-2009 LEXUS LS460L XF40 OEM CENTER CONSOLE SWITCH CLUSTER ASSEMBLY. It doesn't show the white rectangles but may be of help to you.

From EBAY - Maybe the one below shows what you are looking for?
