Question LS600 Wiper at Startup.

My new 2008 LS600 has interesting quirk. Sometimes at start up the windshield wiper engages for one cycle. The car is garaged so no condensation on the windshield. Is my car trying to tell me something?

I doubt it, my car does this also when it's completely dry. Just one wipe and it's done.

Since nobody has mentioned it yet, do you all have the wipers in AUTO position when this happens?
I always turn it off when I park the car, since I still remember the time a bird had pooped on glass, and upon startup my car happily smeared it all over the windshield.

If the wipers aren’t in auto, then something is wrong. Could be a low battery.

Great Point. I replaced my 12V about a month ago and haven't noticed it since.
