Default 2014 LS brake replacement

Hello all,

I searched and found that some members used the following;

Premium Centric Rotor numbers (for all four corners):

120.44150
120.44151
120.44152
120.44153

Posi-Quiet pads (one part number is for the fronts, left and right, the other is for the rear also, left and right)
Fronts: 105.1282
Rears: 105.1283

My brake pads is down to 4mm and just hit 92k this week. Wondering if most still uses these (brake pad and rotor combo) or if anyone had experience with the "POWER STOPK5825Z23 Evolution Sport Brake Upgrade Kit" which includes brake pads AND rotor.

I saw this on rock auto website. Any advise appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

make sure you get the correct part. The rwd rotors are smaller than the awd version.

Since your LS is AWD, you have to get Power Stop K5827. K5825 kit is for RWD.

I have the Centric kits, but I’d go with Power Stop next for looks. I have about 15k miles on the Centric now without any issues.

I like the Centric rotors with black hats to hide rotor rust.

Yup, got the K5827. Will get this changed out in the next 1-2 months and report back.

Quick follow up regarding the Power Stop K5827. I had an independent mechanic changed out the brake pads, rotor and sensor on all 4. It came to $390 OTT

I put on about 500 miles since last thursday after replacement. So far, i have been very happy. It performed as advertised. Linear brake feel without "grabbyness" Great stopping power when i slam the pedal down. Definitely gives out a more confidence feel, compared to the original set up, in which i felt some "floatiness" The new rotors are slotted and looks real nice compared to the old plain ones.

Please note there were no scientific comparison between this and the original brake. In addition, these are new. Anyway, I was also happy i did not need brake line flush, as previously advised by lexus dealer.

You will be happy to hear their Z28 pack once you get some heat in them (first two stops you feel like you are going to slide through) bite great and ALL of their pads are very resistant to fade provided you are running at least DOT4 fluid that's new to the tune of 10 full 70-0 stops with very little fade noticeable.

Did you perform brake break in afterwards?

You should get a brake flush if the car hasn’t had one since new.

yup. The kit comes with instruction, which was easy. Flush was done at 75k.

Unfortunately no. I got the parts from rock auto for $560. $390 was for labor, taxes, etc.

Dealer wanted to change out the pads and polish the rotor. I didn't ask about sensors. They were asking for $1000 minimum. In the end, about same price...

I wanted something with more stopping power and didn't like the squishy feel. I figured i'm not gonna compromise on brakes and tires. Better someone rear-end me as suppose to me hitting someone in front...

Tires are key, if you can tigger ABS at any speed up to 100 then they are the limiter and the brakes are up to the task. On the car I have power stops on I can trigger abs at 125 with 295 summer only tires so I can vouch that the pads/rotors are up to the task
