Default 2008 LS460 AC Issue...

So my 2008 LS460 has an interesting thing happen with the AC. This does not happen when its on "Auto" mode.

When I had the AC blowing just out of the front vents selected, straight ahead, there are times that the ac blows from the footwell, too, even when I have it just to blow from the main vents above the radio selected

Does one know it might do this ?

Even when you have it on the face vent some air will be seeping through the foot well. Just not at the same rate.

The shop I work with says they work on lexus and that it was best to brig it down and have them check the whole thing out. They also said they dont see motor mounts going on these. I did watch a video to do them, which I could but not with health issues and a dirt drive way to work on. I see how they have to be removed to be checked. But wouldnt there be obvious signs like this, ?

Even though this thread is old, Carista app has a custom setting to allow foot air even when face is selected. The default setting is to allow foot air. I just used it to turn off my auto-on daytime running lights and noticed this AC setting choice on my 2013.
