Default 2014 LS460 VIN Check request (help)

Hey guys,

I'm thinking of finding a LS460 (or LS460L if possible) and I'm currently keeping an eye open for for sale ads in Canada. Although not a LWB, there is a 2014 that I find nice.
I'm not sure how to check the vehicle history, I do have one VIN to check JTHCL1EF5E5020311. Can someone help or point me in the right direction for the website to check the reported vehicle history?
The Lexusdrivers website seem to not like this vin for whatever reason. MY guess is because it's a Canadian car and again we miss on some features that are only available for US customers? Hopefully not.. :\

Thanks in advance

Simon

As I understand it, Canadian car histories are not available via the Lexus website. I'm not sure about Carfax or Autocheck. The "1" in the fifth digit of the VIN indicates that it has rear seat side airbags and so is an Ultra Luxury (or at least would be if first sold in the U.S.). That's fairly rare in a short wheelbase 460.

The Lexus website seems to go haywire from time to time. When it does so, it is impossible to check a car's history in their system.

I was able to find a lot of the information on the site. It mirrored the Lexus service records. Depends on if it's an individual or dealership. I can't tell you how it works up in Canada though.

That's odd: I went to Lexus Driver site and entered the VIN and downloaded the full-spec sheet without even logging into my account. No luck retrieving the service history though. So, the site has some information about Canadian cars, just not their service histories.

As TriC indicated, it's an UltraLux. While a SWB UltraLux is fairly rare in the US, I have noticed that it is fairly common in Canadian 460s. The spec sheet is attached. As you can see, this car is almost fully loaded, and only missing the Advanced Pre-collision system that includes the Lane-Keep Assist and the Driver Attention Monitor.

Thank you very much guys, I appreciated a lot! I will try the LexusDrivers website again. I was able to create an account, etc, but when I try to add cars to my "Garage", its like it takes the VIN and almost adds the car but ends up with a message saying no car was added. Tried with both Chrome and Explorer (browsers).

I knew this one was fully equipped based on the pics but the .pdf you provide is excellent to confirm things. It has 57000 Km and is listed for 43,900 $ (CAD) from an independant dealer. I love the ultra luxury for the rear passengers and the cool box, but I understood that this cause the trunk to be a little smaller, which I'm not sure I want.

There is another one I'm looking at online (private seller) and doesn't have enough pictures of the interior. Although it looks very pristine, I cannot identify if it has Air Suspension, ML and such since I cannt fully see the various panels/consoles. Trying to get the VIN from the owner. @comotiger, if I get the VIN, would you be ok with me asking you for the same thing via PM if the website keeps causing me trouble?

Thanks again all for the quick replies and help

Oh and it's true that SWB with Ultra Luxury package seems not so rare here. I think half or 1/3 of the LS 460/460L I see for sale have it. But I have to say it's not that much, since right now I only see 14 LS for sale in the whole country, from 2013 - 2016.

Sure, I am happy to help. I am pretty sure you will be able to download the full specs using the VIN, but I am happy to send it to you if you run into trouble.

By the way, the price for this car seems about right. Given the relatively small number of LS460s in Canada, you may not have much room to negotiate. As long as the service history is comprehensive with no red flags, and a PPI is good, this could be a decent deal.
