sure fix it... easier said than done when you cannot even trust the local lexus/toyota dealer and there is no one else competent around lol but I am looking.

is there some place that lists what speed and rpm goes with what gear? A friend is helping me test the transmission and we see it shifting to 8 at 50-60kmph
I remember reading about gears speed and rpm before but I cannot remember who posted about it

Thanks for that !, I am sure it will be useful somehow. But I think this shows how to test the transmission right not how it usually functions?

I was looking at this on the document, but I am guessing this is more to test the function and shifting of it.
1 → 2 58 to 70 km/h (36 to 43 mph) 2 → 3 93 to 106 km/h (58 to 66 mph) 3 → 4 137 to 157 km/h (85 to 98 mph) 4 → 5 177 to 199 km/h (110 to 124 mph) 5 → 6 211 to 235 km/h (131 to 146 mph) 7 → 6 206 to 226 km/h (128 to 140 mph) 6 → 5 151 to 168 km/h (94 to 104 mph) 5 → 4 103 to 113 km/h (64 to 70 mph) 4 → 3 76 to 84 km/h (47 to 52 mph) 3 → 2 45 to 52 km/h (28 to 32 mph) 2 → 1 3 to 8 km/h (2 to 5 mph)

So thing is driving in this city, you have to contend with quite a few issues, very bumpy cobble stone with huge potholes sometimes, and sometimes this is on a gradient, so the car even if I am not putting any gas, I have to be constantly on the brakes, in this case I don't know if i should put it into sport mode and move only in 1st or 2nd gear or 3rd at most, so I do not have to be constantly on riding the brakes.

So next problem, when I was cleaning the MAF sensors the other day, I removed the air box to clean, so say you are looking at the passenger side air box, theres the part that take the air in and the part the puts the air into the engine Im guessing? The former is on the left and it hooks onto the plastic hooks on the box rather loosely. the left one is torn at the bottom. I wonder if this is going to be a problem, It cannot be any good,,, its really dusty here....

Is this the part? https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/...fender,,53285L

So guess what guys... that gas smell that initially brought me to the dealer to perform the recall it is still there, I had my car buddy and a mechanic spend a good 30-40 minutes looking at the engine with the whole intake system off with the car off and running and although we can smell the gas smell coming from the driver's side engine bay, we cannot locate any leaks near the injectors or anywhere else we can see. I am reluctant to bring it back to lexus for now... Ukraine is all I am going to say... so it would help if you could suggest possible culprits.
