Ever since the cabin filter was changed and reset, I have to manually set the climate settings when I start the car. How can I change this to be automatically set?

 

I had the same problem when I attempted to change the cabin air filter a while back.

It turned out I had not properly refitted the plastic cover pieces, I thought they did not really matter but apparently the car senses the slightest not exact fitment.

Try removing and carefully refitting the retaining plastic pieces......

edit: is it possible you damaged the mechanism by not insuring the air circulation flap was in the correct position?
