Default Aftermarket sway bars for 2007 ls460....

Curious if anyone has bought/installed any aftermarket sway bars? I’ve seen plenty of “links” for sway bars but no informed reviews.

My steering needs a little more effort than necessary. I do have upper control arm bushings that are shot, not 100% sure that is the culprit. Would love to know what a “new” front suspension feels like versus my 12 year old, 80,000 mile Lexus.

I have. I have all the Tom's suspension bars as well as a Kaz-Sus front sway bar. I would recommend both, but from a cost-effective stand point, I have also heard good reviews from Ultra Racing products.

Thanks Brian! I appreciate it. I’ll look them up.

How much of a difference has it made?

Those are suspension braces from ultra racing, not sway bars.

Great question. What I mean by “more effort than necessary” is the steering wheel takes a little more effort to make turns (without knowing what a new ls460 feels like) than what I would expect. I’m not sure if this just in my head but it seems hard to turn. I’m not sure if this is how the steering mechanism is for a heavier car or not.

I purchased most of the suspension parts but haven’t had installed yet. I’m hoping this helps.

(8) Control Arms
New struts, outer tie-rod ends, stabilizer links/bushings, strut mounts.

Changing anti-sway bars won't make it easier to turn or require less effort to turn the steering wheel. From my experience,(2011 non-sport and 2015 F-Sport), the LS460 has pretty neutral handling. At best, you will get a little oversteer biased handling and less body roll. Changing out the old suspension parts will likely remove a little slop in your suspension, but not as much as anti-sway bars will.

The only thing I have seen make a difference in effort to turn a steering wheel is the grip of the tires. The stickier the tire, the more effort it takes to change the angle of the tire.

Thank you very much. 😀

I’ve been debating on upgrading my sway bar to the F sport or the KAZ-SUS. Autofashsion said it’s $550 + shipping and taxes from Japan for the KAZ-SUS sway bar. I’m not sure how much roll reduction the KAZ-SUS sway bar would have over the F sport sway bar. It’s a hefty price for me.

can you chime in on the KAZ-SUS sway bar overall impression @brianlin87 ?

Maybe you didn't see my entire response in the other thread, see below:

Don't have any experience in comparing the Kaz-Sus to the F sport bar, but if price is ultimately your deciding factor, I would suggest going with whichever option better fits your budget.

At the end of the day, a sway bar is a sway bar is a sway bar. In theory, differences in sway bar thickness will obviously lead to better performance outcomes; but you won't notice a difference in everyday driving and I haven't seen anyone in this forum really pushing their car to that type of a limit anyway.

That said, Autofashion is a great shop with an outstanding reputation. I wouldn't hesitate to order anything from them.

Are Toms Swaybars the only aftermarket bars avail for the 2007 LS460 ?

Are there any other options with a better price now a days ?

Ive added some chassis bracing and it sure helped a lot but i think the stock sway bars need an upgrade for the cherry on top ...
Kaz-sus sway bars ?

Don’t think Toms make sway bars.
