Once you drive an LS, you won't care about anything else

All the hurdles have been jumped. This morning the stars aligned, the check arrived at the dealership and hopefully on Monday, I can schedule a pickup and delivery of my new, to me, F Sport. The sales rep went so far and to find and repair a small ding on the truck lid. That's nice. With any luck, I should have the car by the end of next week.

Congrats! I know that feeling. I searched almost 5 months before I found my Lexuicorn. Near the end, I grew weary of tracking and dreaming about an LS.
Bought a ticket to fly to the dealership before I inked the deal. Can't imagine driving anything else now.
Enjoy your new to you F-Sport.

Got my Unicorn today!! I was gonna take a photo of the hauler pulling up to the house, but that did not happen. I live in a gated community and so the driver drove my car to me from the front gate. It was way awesome seeing him drive up. Car looks excellent. Didn't notice any major dings or scratches. Interior looks solid. Spent the morning getting my new Vehicle Identification Tag put on the headlight, new neighborhood sticker on inside window, XM transferred over, and garage door opener. All done. Setup my phone and it was a breeze. Loving the big screen. Loving the bluetooth audio. I'm able to access my google music app from my phone which I've been working on for years and have over 1000 albums loaded. Sounds great. Still lots to learn, but I took the car out on the road a bit and traveled around getting a feel for the ride. It's not as smooth as my 08, but it's an F Sport with air suspension so I understand. Over all, I'm more than pleased.

CONGRATS! Waiting on the full review of it when you have the time. I have a perfectly running & paid off 2008 LS460. I'm trying to justify pay $15K+ sell/trade it and upgrade to a 2013+ LS460.

First thing I'll say, if I had a 2011 instead of the 08 (paid for), I'd not be discussing a new "to me" car. With that said, I'm absolutely delighted with my 14. Why? First off, the interior is much more striking in person. It feels extremely substantial and large. The 12.3" screen is so nice! I'm still working on the run around for the mouse and the info center. However, in roughly 24 hours (half of which was over night), I've learned many features. The bluetooth audio is terrific. Once it's all set, you're good to go. I was listening to an album when I exited the car. When I got back in, the song cut started playing. How cool is that. I didn't have to turn on the bluetooth adapter, fiddle with my phone and start a song. The radio portion of the screen, while it doesn't show an album cover, offers so much more visual information in a variety of colors based on user choice. If it does show album art, I haven't figured it out yet. Seems I have much more control over the seat setting than ever before. I can adjust the side mirrors for each position and gear. It all saves to a memory button. My passenger seat has memory seating as well. A fun add is the ability to know WHICH tire has what air pressure. Gone are the days of guessing which tire is the low one. It spells it all out on the screen. I like having the compass on the screen. For me, it's a much better compass than in my 08. The analog clock is kinda cool. The car was set to EST. When I changed it to central, it was fun watching the hands roll backwards and set in place. I'm just tossing things out that enter my head. lol. There's many more differences that made the extra bucks well worth it. The others hopefully will come by and continue the list. I've still much to learn. I'm enjoying every second of the education.

On this, couple things:

1. What tires does it have on it?

2. Whats the PSI? Air them to 31 or so cold.

3. Have you tried it in COMFORT mode?

The air suspension takes a little getting used to, but I think ultimately you will find it rides much flatter and is more damped. Of course the F Sport is a little bit firmer damped than the standard air car like I have, and mines a LWB.

Just now seeing this. Not positive of tire. Know it’s Michelin. I’ll have to look at psi next time I’m out and about. Yes the car originally was in comfort mode. I currently have it set to off. Took the car Saturday to the Liberty Bowl for the Memphis-Ole Miss game. Car drove great on the expressway. A little noisier, but that could be the tires. Overall for the short time I’ve been in the car, I’m very pleased.

No such thing as setting it as off. It’s either comfort, normal or sport. It’s totally suspended by air, so if it was off it would drag the ground

Lol. So it must be normal. It was comfort and I pressed the round button.

2. Whats the PSI? Air them to 31 or so cold. You were spot on there. The tires had 38-40 psi in them. I let the car sit about 10 minutes and then let air out to about 33. I have a feeling those numbers are going to be random still, but I'll continue to monitor.

3. Have you tried it in COMFORT mode? I had changed it to normal, but now I have it on comfort. Not sure I'm heading back out today, but I may just to check the ride.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I'm looking forward to the next ride.

Hi RZ, did you reset the TPMS after lowering your tire pressures to 33 psi? If you didn't, the system may not function correctly. Happy motoring!

Hi. Why would I need to reset the TPMS? I dropped the pressure maybe 5psi per tire. This is a new learning curve for me. I think I know where it is, below the steering. Just not sure why it's necessary.

If the TPMS was initialized (reset) to a pressure of 38-40 psi by the seller, the system is programmed to give a warning when the pressure goes below a threshold, maybe at 31-33 psi. As of now, your TPMS could flash a warning with even a slight fall in tire pressure. By initializing the system with the new pressure of 33psi, the system will give a warning at 26 psi. I am attaching two pages from the 2014 manual, highlighting this information.
