I thought it was bracing related to this illustration. Wondering if there more bracing in 13 F Sports vs 2010-12’s

Thats from the changes that were made for 2013, not what was done in 2016.

This is from the 2016 Product Specs:

https://pressroom.lexus.com/2016-lex...olished-style/

The 2016 LS also receives body adhesive in more areas for enhanced body rigidity and handling.

That specific car is listed on Manheim at Manheim PA right now. MMR is $36,400. It was rated 4.8 out of 5.0 for CR. It is scheduled to go through the auction on the 12th of July.

It did not. The car is still on Manheim OVE though. MMR is the same and the OVE price is still a ridiculous $43k. The buy number here isn't anywhere close to that.

Thought I'd found my Unicorn. I ran my car over to CarMax to see how much they'd pay me for it. They offered me $10K. There's a car dealer in town who advertises to bring them your CarMax quote and they'll give you $500 more. The car I'm looking at is about 900 miles away. I talked to both Lexus and Toyota dealerships who touched the car based on the Lexus Drivers history and the Car Fax info. I did a KBB search of dealer price on the car and thought I was ready to go. But, the dealership who has the car refused to negotiate. So, we're done for now unless the car sits a while and then he'll call me back. In the meantime, I'm in no rush, know the low end of what I can get for my car, and will continue looking. It's nice to not be in a rush. Onward!

Sorry it took so long, I have been slammed at work. Here's the link. Would love to know any and all thoughts. The sales person and I are back in discussion, although not sure how it's gonna go.

Thanks, RZ. The car looks great but it is definitely overpriced, IMO, even for an F-Sport. Perhaps DedBirdDog can give you a good appraisal. I think 30-32K is the limit.

Yes I agree. We are now at $33K but of course they have a dealer and electronic fee. Nothing I can do about taxes. Plus I have to ship it. So we're on the right track, but I think they're not going to budge anymore. They're being pretty firm about the last price. We'll see.

That is a little higher than what I paid for a 2015 FSport with similar mileage in April, though mine had a little fender-bender history.

i think you should go for it at $33k + dealer fee of $1k. it's very stressful to search a car daily. pay little more now and less stress in return.
also, thought you want to trade your LS? no longer the case?

Are all dealer fees $1000? There's no stress involved. I love my car and I can drive it for years to come. The quest to find a new car is fun to me. If this dealership wants to sell me the car, they'll work with me and not me with them. I've come up some, now they need to return the favor. As for trade in, the dealership is too far away so I have a deal in place with CarMax and or another local dealership who pays $500 more than Carmax, by showing them the quote. In any event, I've begun looking again and will start all over until I find my Unicorn!
