Default Remove and reseat rain sensor?

Anyone taken off the rain sensor on the LS460? See attached pics. It seems the sensor is stuck or glued to the metal bracket. My bracket is loose on the window, so the sensor is not making full contact. I did not want to pull hard until I checked with others here. Thanks!

Hi -- Did you rectify your issue? I have same issue, would like to see if I can clean the sensor - I cannot even remove the cover. Did you pull the u hook off first or just pop the cover off? Like you I dont want to break it. Lexus wante 99$$ just to look at it??

There's a thread somewhere on this forum that states rain sensors need software recalibration if removed. I'd think twice about removing it if it's working properly.
