I thought you wanted black interior? You want to spend $20K out the door for something that will hit 100K a month after buying it? Then maintenance cost that will pop up during your time owning it? I think you should stick to your budget of around $15K and buy something local. I sent you a pm with 2 cars in your area. Did you get it?
Seems like more "L" are popping up these days because owners are finally letting them go.

I'm seeing that fairly constantly in the older cars. I can't prove it, but I suspect it has to do with sample size. Since MMR is an average of nationwide auction sales, more AWD cars going through tends to drive the average down. Lots more AWD cars going through that RWD cars. I have no idea what production numbers are for each type but that would be interesting to see as well.

what are the benefits of rwd vs awd besides
the 0-60 is littler quicker with rwd
and control arm issue
anything else????

The only thing really is winter drivability. The RWD car drives a little nicer (I've had both), and actually with the modern TRAC and VSC make the RWD surprisingly good in the snow.

There aren't many benefits to having a rear wheel drive car over an AWD one. Here are my reasons for having rwd only as I keep my vehicles for a very long time. Fuel economy is better. A lot less things up front that can go wrong down the line. In this car from what i've learned is that with AWD there can be a vibration at speeds that would need to be corrected and also that the control arms are not available as cheap for with AWD. I think with air shocks thats another issue but i'm not positive. I've had to deal with AWD issues in the past on my E-class mercedes that I kept a real long time and I'm not going through it again.

Well so much for that. I put in an offer on the car this morning. They just got back to me, sorry car is already sold lol. The first one I actually take a stab at.

You would think I would have learned that lesson by now. If the car was within driving distance to see In Person this would be so much easier to date. I am almost neurotic when it comes to the condition of any vehicle. It can have flaws but I have to see first.

I jumped on one in Georgia about six weeks ago, a 2012 L, but with the ultra-luxury package, so nicer leather, rear seat goodies, integral beverage cooler, rear A/C... Had 76,700 miles on it, about, I paid $21,274 out the door. Even got a deal on shipping, $300 to my door in Fort Worth.
Deals are out there, but you have to be at the ready. I lucked out with this one because I know a guy who lives about a mile from the place, and it was too nice of a car for the lot it was on. That, and they didn't know what they had, based on price.

Your car is so nice man. I'd take that one in a heartbeat. I was set on black but if the right white or blue one pops up I'm in. If the one I was about to put an offer in on had only 80ish thousand miles on it I wouldn't have hesitated. I'm trying to break the 100,000 mile mental barrier. That one was right there at 98600 miles. It didn't help that it had the 600h wheels on it instead of the 5 spoke I really want. They were still nice enough though that i could have overlooked.
