Default Can a slightly torn side window shade be repaired?

I found an issue with the new-to-me '12 L. The left rear door's shade is torn for about an inch at the very rear of the top attachment point. Anyone had to fix one of these?

I've not yet looked at it...came down with a nasty virus very early Monday morning, 2 AM, and it's had me bed/couch bound since, so I haven't felt up to examining it.

Can you sew it with some black vinyl thread? Or take it to a tailor or the dry cleaners and have them sew it ?

I'll be out there, tomorrow, figuring it out. Thanks!

Will take pics and measurements/notes.

This is going to require some surgery and cleverness. Fortunately, it's rare anyone rides back there.

I wish there were an override for the window having to be up for the shade to go up at all. I understand why it's that way, and I'm glad it is, but I really don't want to take the door apart.
