Control arm replacement?

73K miles...
Man, I know Houston roads aren't pristine...no urban area roads are...but there's no way your front-end is a worn out mess at that mileage unless you drive on brick streets for several miles per day.
Normally, people would say, "pffft, that can't happen in today's cities", but there are places around which still have brick pavement. It lasts forever, but isn't particularly smooth.
My '08 had 123K on it, and while bushes were due to be replaced along with the occasional control-arm clunk in the front-end, the tires still wore as they should.
Was your car a Houston-area car, originally, or did it come from elsewhere, like Chicago/Boston/NYC/Detroit/other place with horrible pavement?
What I meant by a tire 'rotation' is, don't put the brand new tires on the front...y'know, the end which is eating tires for breakfast and lunch. No, put the worn rears on the front and put the new ones on the back, so at least the tires likely to be abused by the front-end are already not long for this world.
From now on, though, for tires, go to Discount Tire. You may find the occasional troublesome store, but they're common, so finding another shouldn't be a huge problem, especially, in a metro area like Houston.

As for the tyres Michelin, R19 that is what I remembered.
The car is bought without a warranty. I thought I could have counted on them...
Actually it is my service advisor (SA) that mention the idea of "SUV tyres for RX" lol Now I wonder if these people are really trained or just morons like me?
The ~$600 I paid is the upfront price the dealer showed me including tyres, labour and tax.
I live in Houston and have always been servicing my cars at either Westside Lexus (where this car was bought) or Lexus of Clear Lake (where my LS430 was bought).
Actually I had the same thought as you do, my SA thinks a rotation alone is not going to extend the "life" of the tyres. I love my car more than myself...so I agreed to get new tyres
My car is a 2010 LS460 with 73k btw.

you’re comparing apples to oranges, AWD arms are ONLY available through the dealer for all but one of the two uppers. The cost is over $3500 for parts alone! (Not saying this isn’t nuts, but that is a fact, and it’s not the dealer, it’s Lexus corporate) For RWD you can easily get these for the price you’ve quoted, in the US or Canada.

look in the wheel wells with a flashlight. You will see cracking and tearing of the rubber in the joints at the end of the suspension arms. You may need to turn the wheels to get a good look. If you have air suspension, raise the car to high height to see better. If you ball joints are shot, the car will make a clunking metal sound when you hit bumps, particularly at lower speeds or on stutter bumps.

After the tyre replacement, they showed me the inspection report.
New Front left 9/32, 9/32, 9/32
New Front right 10/32, 10/32, 10/32
Rear left 4/32. 4/32, 4/32
Rear right 6/32, 6/32, 6/32
They recommend replacement of the rear left after another 5k miles.
This is the information of the 2 new tyres

Highly recommend going with the OEM arms. Two upper on the left and right side are what typically fails. If you scan ebay you will find them all for around $700-$900.
Poly bushings squeak and unfortunately all the other Chinese arms and bushings will fail again in short time.
