Default OSRAM Xenarc CBI or Phillips Xtreme Vision?

Phillips seem to be more money 152 USD for both bulbs. And the Osram are about 108 USD and 21 USD for a guy to put it in.

Comments? Any alternatives with same or better lumen output and longevity etc? Unless someone tells me something about Phillips, I don't really feel like spending 152 USD for headlight bulbs.... 108 USD seems a bit more reasonable.

I voted for the CBIs because I had them in my 2015 and really liked them.

I traded the car with them on it, my 2017 has LEDs. They were 2.5 years old or so, no issues.

The $50 bulbs off eBay aren't real.

Like I said, they were on there 2.5 years or so. I got them when the car was about 6 months old and I traded it when it was about 3 years old.

They're OEM quality bulbs, they should last for a really, really long time. Like 7,8 years even longer.

There is a review on YouTube about this very matter. The Phillips cost more because they are brighter and they are made by Phillips. My oem Phillips HIDs are 12 years old and are functioning fine but it is time. Phillips make a good dependable bulb.

The osram turn out to be a little more bluer (cooler). But compared to the oem bulbs in the car now, the XV are cooler and good enough for me. I think the philips are 4800k compared to the osram 5500k. I’m good with 4800k I want to see the road not look cool.

In in the end it’s your choice. But do a youtube search for this and you will see a whole professional video on this matter.

Whats special about the CBI bulbs is they have 5500k color temp, but they don't loose lumens. The CBI bulbs put out more lumens and a whiter light than the OEM bulbs at 4,100k.

Changed both of our 08’s to Osram 6k 4DS bulbs. Whiter light.(bluer?) I understand that leds do not heat the housing in winter weather. Better “reach?”

Lexus loaner was a 18 nt300 with new tech led headlights. Roughly the same color beam. Not as bright as the Osrams

LEDs take some getting used to vs HIDs. At first I felt they were dimmer too, but as I've gotten used to them I much prefer them to HIDs (which I still have on the Pacifica.

Ok I’ve decided I would go with the Osrams, the Phillips brand means nothing to me really most of their products are licensed and crap I wouldn’t buy any Phillips electronics or electrical excerpt maybe a kettle and an iron so why waste money on their bulbs... so wil try osram

No No! dont get osram! im JK. Ive had both and usually went with the CBI because they were cheaper and in fact have recently really gone down in pricing. Did retrofits as well in the pasts and right now utilizing phillips.
Both are exceptionally well so you wont be let down. Either way is a win win and with the minor lumens change, you wont notice much. The best bang for your buck will come from doing lens work and spacing to create a perfect cut off and flickr effect.
