Something I've been wanting to do for years. Finally got around to it. Loving how it turned out. No more DRL highbeam flicker from the led 9005. Now the turn signal does all the work for bright white DRL and Amber turn signals and the led high beam can live it's best life... at night 😂. We wired it up so the DRL circuit turns off when fogs turn on.
Very cool! I opted to simply turn the DRL off and run my Nike lights all the time as markers, but this is an original way to run them if DRL is required where you are (or if you just like them).
Thnaks. I would have done the same but they aren't bright enough for daytime. And the issue with our PWM style highbeam DRL causes flicker with loss of high beam if using a decoder/capacitor and it puts it to full power which is way too bright. So I wanted to do something totally different and utilze the turn signal for my DRL and it compliments my OEM led parking light strip perfectly for Dawn and Dusk..aka "Park Light Time' where I'm from 😁

Interesting did you use some kind of module or? Might be easier than what I was thinking to do which is find a led bulb and a module of some sort that supports high beam and low beam and drls
good to know but I was actually wondering if the rest was wired up manually?
Like what controls the turn signals to be drls now? And what switches them to turn signals ? And what controls them that they turn off when the fogs go on.... is this all not controlled by some module?
