Default Why did my car just do this?

2010 460.. Just got in the car, had key fob in my pocket, shut the driver door and around the time I put my foot on the brake to push the "start" button, the hazard lights turned on for a quick sequence and the car beeped once as if I had locked it. This is a first for me - anyone know what this indicates?

Could you have possibly hit one of the buttons on the key fob by accident?

I don't think so - and I can't seem to duplicate it by pressing any fob buttons while in the car.

it could be the auto relock function. I know if you unlock the car and dont crank it within 30 seconds ds it will re lock the doors. At least mine does.

Interesting... I did have the driver and rear passenger door open for a while before starting the car as I was loading things in. This may have been what happened. Still open to other ideas if anyone else knows. Thanks!

Well it would not auto re-lock once you opened the doors from what I understand about the feature. Like has been mentioned maybe one of the fob buttons got pushed in your pocket accidentally. Happens all the time.
