Default Cracked Armrests on LS460

2012 LS460 CPO, purchased April 2018, bumper to bumper 24 month warranty. Previously noticed cracks in the material in the driver's side armrest, same on passenger's, but fewer. Just noticed today severe cracking at the rear portion of the armrest. Can't believe I didn't notice this before, but I didn't. Only 14000 miles on the car.
Thought I previously read that some of the LSs came with plastic armrests.
Plan on contacting the dealer tomorrow.
Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks

Your car is probably having the same issues as many LS's are now having. See if your Lexus dealer will do a good will replacement of both door panels. Big thing going on now with 460's and door panel/ dashbaord replacements for stickiness. Along with the stickiness also comes cracking. Mine is a 2011 and I had the same issue had cracks start to form shortly after the arm rests got sticky. Eventually a small chuck even came off in the corner. Not all 460's had leather arm rests only some trim levels. The ones without leather are the ones that they are replacing as far as I know. Easy way to tell if it is leather or not is by stitching on arm rest. Only leather has stitching. I also see you are in Florida, heat makes the problem even worse which is why so many Floridians are having issues with this.

I don't know about the 2012, but as I mentioned on another post, my 08 has a cracked armrest. The local dealership told me it was now covered for replacement. Give your dealership a call.
