Default 2015 LS460 TPMS Question

Few questions regarding TPMS on this vehicle. I'm about to acquire a second set of wheels and since there is no way of disabling the TPMS on this car, I will need to buy a set of new ones.

Anyways, to the point now ----> if I buy 4 new TPMS (they will be Denso 550-0105) will they learn successfully if the spare tire has a different part number/brand TPMS? In other words, do all 5 TPMS need to be the same exact?

Each sensor comes with unique ID and you can replace just any number of them individually. The problem is that each time you change wheels you would need to program the currently installed sensor IDs into the car computer - which typically requires a trip to a dealer. A more elegant approach is to use "cloneable" sensors and just copy you existing sensor IDs into the new sensors. See my other post for details:

Thank you for that info. I won't be changing wheela often, if at all, and I could get the sensors reprogrammed for free. Your method is tempting, but I can't find the tool for that cheap.
