2 weeks after purchasing a 2015 LS460 Lexus Certified car, we left Waze to try out the NAV. First issue was that we had two map issues and learned that was caused by having an out-of-date map chip (the original). Dealer said Certified does not mean current maps. So now when on I-94 we will frequently get the message (Updating route) or something close to that. The message may repeat 4 or 5 times. Also we get a message that traffic info has been updated do we want to update our route go around a traffic problem? I don't want messages like this. I expect my NAV to take care of these things for me. Is there a setting we can change? Is our software in need of a fix? I enclose 2 attachments with the only info I can find. HELP!

 

In the 'Traffic Settings" (Menu/Setup/Traffic) you can set the the "Avoid Traffic" rerouting to Manual, Auto, or Off. I believe "Manual" is the default setting.
