Security lug nut replacement?
Hi guys
So when I had my tires changed today, they discovered that the security lug nut was not working correctly anyways suspiciously I do not understand how they managed to get it off and on anyways they couldnt make it work with the manual thingy.... only the impact gun... so my question is... Do I have to replace the whole set lug nuts and all or just get the key replace how much are a set of these supposed to cost?

You can just buy the key only "IF" you have the key code along with the manufacturer of the wheel lock.
I always write down the key code and manufacturer in my owners manual and I have never had to use it in all my years of driving. Replacing all four wheel locks may be the easiest thing to do.
BTW! I really don’t think these factory LS wheels are a "in demand/hot item" so I am thinking of removing all my wheel locks on the LS because of problems like the OP’s in a road side emergency situation..... Spending $40 on four lug nuts to replace the wheel locks can save me some aggravation.

the original owner of my RX couldn't find the wheel lock key when I bought it from him (I later found it in the truck with the jack). Went to a Lexus dealership and they brought out a bag of 10 or so keys and tried each one till they found the one that fit. Took 5 mins. cost about $20.
