Default There's some sort of old school telephone wire stick out of my cup holder..

Hi guys
There's a small hole in one of my cupholders and theres something that looks like a home phone wire sticking out of it.... is it for some kind of car phone back in the day... is this from the factory.. if so why on earth is it coming out of one of the cup holders.

If you guys never heard of it, just let me know, I'll ask the previous owner but want to make sure its factory or something he installed that I have to ask him.

Probably for a Valentine 1 radar detector. If it's in an odd spot, it could have been the cable for the add-on stealth display module they sell.

Definitely not factory. The previous owner was powering some device.

Dave is probably right, the Valentine One is powered by a telephone wire. Let us know what it was for.

Agreed on the radar detector. Beltronics and Escort both use that type of power wire as well and it was likely for a control module/mute button installed lower in the car.

I'd buy the control equipment. That siren and loudspeaker can clear a lot of pesky traffic!

well it is prob illegal to turn on the sirens but I think i can use the siren as a horn, theres like oulse mode like the fire trucks/ambulance... sounds like blaring horn. theres also a button to turn on strobe lights which... I think are the fog lights or installed near the fog lights I have not looked carefully... if they used the same bulbs as the fogs it is pretty interesting coz the fogs are a warm colour but the strobes come on a bright cool white.

using the loudspeaker to F people off and tell people to F off I think is not illegal haha
