DynAudio Install Questions
well i saw an old thread asking how to wire the dynaudio mkii components but wasnt exactly sure of the process. from what percy said it seems like you spread the end of the wire and place that on the base of the terminal. then you fold down the metal tab thats sticking up and soldier them (wire w/ tab) together? I assume it'd be the same process for both the tweeter and midbass driver.
the only other question i have is what is the best way to hook the wires to the crossover. should i use bare wire or should i soldier the wire to a fork and connect with a fork/clamp? thanks for any help.

Percy might understand better but on the 240 MkIIs, the woofer has spade lugs that you can either solder to or get a push on connector to work with. I soldered the wire to mine. Did not have to bend or modify anything. In order to get the tweeters to work on the GS you have to entirely remove them from their factory housing. You are left with two "tinsel" leads that you have to solder wires to. These are very fragile wire leads. I used what was left of the stock wire harness here as it was lighter gauge than what I had bought. I then soldered the factory wires to the wire I bought and ran down to the crossovers. The crossovers are meant to have the wires pushed in and then have the screw tightened down to make contact between two metal plates that draw together as the screw is tightened. You would probably have to look around a lot to get the correct size crimp on that could go on that connector. Just as easy to run the bare wires in and tighten the screws down.
Hope this helps.
