Default A-pillar curtain airbag replacement procedure?

Hey guys, had a rock kick up on me getting on the toll road yesterday and put a crack in the 1st pane of glass halfway up the drivers side a-pillar. Insurance is a $500 deductible and a comprehensive claim to replace the glass (and I've heard the horror stories of stuff not working after replacement) or free to let Safelite attempt a repair, so I opted to let them give it a go and at least buy myself some time without it getting any worse.

Here's the before picture:

Tech showed up, I opened my vehicle, and he got to work while I went back to my office. Came back 45 minutes later when he was done and he had made it MUCH better. Still not ideal but something that I could live with.

Here's the after picture:

So the crack looks great, right?!? Well, it wasn't until today that I noticed what else was wrong with that photo above

It looks like the tech got pen, or grease, or something on the interior a-pillar, and instead of leaving the Alcantara alone for a professional to deal with, I guess he decided to try and fix it himself. Ruining it in the process, no way will this ever look the same.

I've spoken with the manager at the location that did the work for me and he sounds like he wants to help out. But, he mentioned that they would buy me a replacement and then schedule a time to "stop by and snap them in for you"......... I told him to please verify the procedure with the dealer when ordering the part as it looks like it disappears under the dash and I'm not sure the process to remove/install that piece.

Does anyone know the process for removal/installation of that airbag (or just the cover if they're separate) and does it require disassembly of anything else in the cabin?

It's not likely that I'm going to let them pull my dash apart if that's involved.

TIA
