Ls460 oil capacity
ive been taking my 13 LS to toyota dealer for years for service & the only charge me $45 for an oil change where lexus charhes $119.
Wonder what kind of oil they're putting in there. But maybe he gets a serious family & friends discount?
Bubba brand straight 40 weight with finger-lickin-super-slicken corrosion resistant additive. Unless that's too expensive, then they just leave the old oil in there and top it off with whatever is in the drain pain in the next stall over. And that's the Toyota dealer, just consider what Hyundai dealers do.

I can't math out a way they are doing the change that cheap unless fee labor is used and bulk oil from a 55 gal drum and fleet filters. It's just too much oil for anything at even 3.50 or 3 a qt to do it with, free labor then sure I think you could use dollar store oil I guess?
Even the cheapest bulk box oil is $2 a qt and a filter is $1-7 dollars off RA and that's a filter that will likely die way before 5k miles in some fashion. That's the only way I can see that working and charging no labor

i bought penzoil ultra platinum in 2 5 qt jugs and a Napa gold oil filter for $66. Napa/wix are the B E S T otc oil filters made and Penzoil UP is the best OTC synthetic oil available which actually can increase fuel mileage by 5% - real life experienced user here.
Just wanted to post and update to my original post about timing correction due to an oil change. So I just completed a 10,000 mile oil change with the same Amsoil 0W20 but I used the Amsoil engine flush prior as directed on the container and so far I am 200miles post oil change and I have not had any hesitation. I looked all over for the Toyota Engine flush and could not find anywhere so I just used the Amsoil product. I also had an engine oil analyses done by Blackstone Labs at the 10000 mile mark. The lab results stated that the oil was in excellent condition and was not needed to be changed. (See report below)
****After 10,000 miles of use, this oil is still in good condition. It hasn't lost its 0W/20 viscosity. There's no significant contamination from dirt, fuel, coolant, or moisture. Insolubles at 0.1% show that the oil filter is doing a great job of keeping excess solids out of circulation. Engine wear looks good, too. Aluminum (from pistons and bearings), iron (steel wear) and copper (brass/bronze wear) are the only wear metals to be seen, and they're right around universal averages. Those are based on only ~6,600 miles on the oil, too. Very nice! No oil change needed
