What use can a "normal" LS 460 owner get from an OBD2 reader?

I have seen a number of cheap readers lately. I know you need to pair it with either a free app or one that is paid. I know in the BMW world there is tons of coding that can be taken advantage of with either a mobile app or a laptop connected to the reader. When I say normal I mean someone who has some common sense with vehicles, not a DIY mechanic who knows a ton.

What use can someone get from an OBD2 reader for an LS460 and what app do you all love?

turn off seatbelt alarm.. so it doesn't ring when you take it off in your driveway/parking lot.

Is there a way to get it to keep the Lexus image which I have changed to a custom one (my family) from only being displayed for 1/2 a second?

Is there a thread on these modifications/ coding for the LS460 on clublexus?

Many Lexus owners on this forum use the Carista Ap along with an ODBC reader similar to the one you linked to run diagnostics and handle some customization features not accessible through the normal menu built into the car (like turn off the rear window shade retracting every time the car is put in reverse). When the Carista Ap first launched, it was a $20 purchase price with a lifetime subscription. Many of us bought it at that time (back in 2015 I think). It's now a monthly subscription fee, but I'm not sure how much.

I do know I've used it on several LS460s/LS600hLs, and it has worked great.

a much better option would be tech stream which you can get free and a 25$ cable, you ca do whatever the dealer can. I have a bluetooth connector its just not as good as tech stream

THIS! X2....... Carista is the best "Bang for the Buck" and it pays for itself right out of the box.
