ECM Replacement
Update... I finally decided to just take my car to the dealership. They found a loose connection. I still had to pay for the 2 1/2 hours of labor they took to find the problem for a total of $636 but at least that's better than the $2400 to $2600 I was quoted for a new ECM and labor for programming and installation. I'm usually not a fan of paying the dealership service price but I think when it comes down to computer issues, it's best to go with their experience.
A month ago I had the brake actuator and the 2 high pressure fuel pump seals replaced a 2 weeks ago I had a remote start installed and a week later I installed a new set of tires. 5 days ago I got a ecm and check engine light on the dash, also the transmission would not shift anymore and the traction control notice came on the dash and will not close off. The parking brake started getting stuck on also. Mechanic will look at it in a few days and I was wondering if there is a reset or will I end up having to replace the ecm?

I'm definitely upset over cost. Unfortunately they were my last resort since I had 2 independents that could not find the loose connector. I'm even more upset that I now also need to find someone to replace my front control arms at a reasonable price. I was quoted $3600 by the independents that I don't feel I can trust after this ECM issue and $5000 at the dealership.

Ok, thanks, I’ll check the trunk for water. Wow I think this could be 100% the problem because I just ran the car through the car wash and got stuck on the broken car wash track for about 10 minutes but the water kept flowing and I also saw some water in trunk information posted before I bought the car but had forgotten it. I have been out of town a few days and will look into it tomorrow and will give an update.
