Sway bar bushings are probably the cheapest easiest mod, they were on my GS. Sportier tires. You may regret messing with the ride/handling too much on these cars, they are not sport sedans and you may not like the results trying to make it handle like one.

You're not kidding. I installed BC BR coilovers with 12k front and 8k rear and the ride is so bouncy. I'm going to install 6k springs in the rear to see if it helps but ultimately I'm going to add the OCD bags to the coils and go with an air setup.

Yes I understand the trade offs. I have a bit extra ride quality leeway with the Michelin pilot pro’s 4s excellent ride.

just wonder what others have done?

Are you looking just to improve handling or do you also want to be able to adjust the vehicle height?

Change old sway bar bushings and link and upgrade to 19s with 245/45/19 tires and you'll get rid of the Mercury Grand Marquis suspension feel

Because that's why LEXUS engineers spent so much time...screwing up this car.

That's why I was so scared of buying coilovers, some say they are so great , and others say they are too bouncy and ruin the ride .

I took the safe route and went with kyb struts and tanabe lowering springs

thanks for the info, any info on the replacement bushing sizes needed? Local to me is the guys who make polyurethane everything for suspensions.

should help. I have 245/45/18 on our sc 430 and the ride deterioration is noticeable versus the 50 series both in 18”.

Especially since the previous original owner paid a lot for chromed oem mag wheels when he bought the car new.

i polished them up yesterday with mother’s and they are 95% condition and look good on this obsidian and black car now.

the bushings and link ends should add a bit more lateral stiffness without losing too much ride quality hopefully.
