hey guys - replacing Bank 1 Sensor 1 on my LS 460 (thanks in large part to member davisk and his diy thread), however; I can not for the life of me apply pressure on the wiring harness clip to release the old sensor. I already have the actual sensor removed.
i am confident with a flat head screwdriver and I can clip the new wiring harness into said clip and finish the job - but can not remove the original wires. Any suggestions? Already have beat up knuckles and it is literally about 0 degrees in my garage - ha.
The down arrow is where I cannot apply any downward pressure - my fingers can feel it but can’t push down - any tips are appreciated!
I feel your pain. I know it won’t help you if you don’t have them but this set of extended needle nose pliers (straight & curved) are life savers for things like that. They are about 14” long.
I work on Aircraft daily and those long needle nose pliers are the most used "Emergency " tool we have. Well, that and a mirror. Not expensive. Get a pair and the first time you really need them, you'll say "SWEET ".
Thanks guys! Not sure how I eventually got it with a screwdriver - these look much better - just ordered some for when I inevitably need to replace Bank 2 Sensor 1 ha. Thanks!
