Default Looking to purchase a 15 crafted line LS...

My current lease is running out in the next 4 months and I’m thinking this time around I’ll buy a L certified LS and the crafted line looks awesome. My questions are..

- did the crafted line come with all the options such as Lane keep assist, Radar cruise control, Blind Spot monitor, cross traffic alert?
- anything to particularly look at on this car when looking at potential cars to buy?
- trouble free cars?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

The attached press release shows that only 750 units of the LS crafted line were made for the 2015 MY. They are all in the 460 F Sport, which I have never seen equipped with LKA (or DRCC). The Crafted line will have BSM and RCTA and AWD. But Advanced PCS may not be available. If at all any Crafted line were optioned with advanced PCS that includes LKA, they would be so rare that you wouldn't find it on the car sites. You should contact a Lexus dealer or Lexus Corporate to get a definitive answer. Good luck!

Thanks for that. Did the regular Fsports come with those options?

I don't know, but if I had to guess, the advanced PCS option will be very rare on the F sport. I don't include the F sport in my searches, so I am not familiar with the options on these vehicles. However, the F sports that I have seen have never had DRCC or LKA. I don't recall the LKA option being on any trim except the LWB, which the F sport is not.

never understand Toyota.. why is such an option limited to LW models? Even a damn corolla comes standard with it now... I’ve heard about trickle down tech.. but I can’t believe how many Lexus models that don’t even offer today’s tech in their new models.

I see Carvana currently has a 2015 LS460 Crafted Line for sale. Here's the link: https://www.carvana.com/search/20000...d-line-sedan-4

17K miles, $55K delivered to your door with a 7-day return policy...

I did see that one. I’m looking for something that has more safety gadgets than my IS350. Looks like that’s not going to happen with crafted line. I checked a car out today and was thoroughly disappointed how trashed the car was with just 40k miles. It was a L certified car at a local Lexus dealership.

The LS500 has all the safety bells and whistles. DRCC was available from 2007+, and the LKA from 2010+, but only as the highest option. But Lexus never considered offering these features as a standard equipment on their flagship, which is a shame.
Can you specify which today's tech is not offered in Lexus models? Carplay? Surround view camera? They are a bit behind in updating features in their lineup.

Doesn't have DRCC or LKA. The price seems a bit high, especially for a car that is not CPO.

I LOVE the black/red interior. Full red interiors are my favorite. Never thought any LS (I have owned one from each generation, and currently awaiting my LS500), would have a gorgeous and racy interior like the one you posted.

For example.. you can’t get a GX with any of this tech regardless of how many option boxes you check. If in 2017 these options were standard in a corolla.. why wasn’t it made standard in a car that is 6 Times the price a few years ago from the same manufacturer?

Reason on why I know about the GX is due to the super aggressive leases they had back in December. But when I saw that the truck is left back in 2005 as far as safety is concerned I gave up on it. So I decided I’d buy a Lexus again instead of leasing and figured I try a 4LS as I’ve had three other LS’ in the past. But kinda disappointed that the F-Sport that I’d consider is not really available with the tech I want.

A 2018 Toyota 4 Runner has none of these options available at any cost. No blind spot monitor, no panic self braking etc. Thats why I sold my 2015 Limited and purchased a Grand Cherokee which has it all. Toyota is behind the pack on their new safety features rollout.

Yup.. I’m super interested in the TRD PRO 4Runner but it seems that it Toyota will not update the tech on that model till they come up with a new version. 6th gen 4Runner is also not confirmed yet so.. sad to see Toyota so far behind the curve on tech.
