I wouldn't avoid any model year LS. The 2007 and some 2008 cars had a couple recalls, just check to see that they were done. Control arms may also need to be replaced.
A 2011 shouldn't have any issues. If it has air suspension, you will be spending money on that at some point.
I paid $26k for an AWD 2011 with 52k miles from a Lexus dealer in NJ a few weeks ago, just to give you an idea of price points.
I might be selling my 2011 LS460L. Recently bought a 2017 LX. It has 94K miles. The car has Lexus CPO Platinum Extended Warranty (Unlimited Miles, zero deductible upto Feb 2023). Warranty is transferrable one time to new owner without any charge

Let us all know if you decide to sell it... I travel to FL a lot and might be interested.
Your car is a twin of mine - right down to the wheels (which I have clad in snow tires for the Winter). I replace them with 20" staggered wheels and tires the rest of the year (as seen in my signature pic). Mine is a black 08 with 105k miles.
Also, your story is similar to mine.....I had a 7 series BMW before the LS and it's a sordid chapter in my life that no amount of therapy will ever remedy. Trading it in on the LS helped, but I'm still on a road to recovery.
