Default Anybody else get 14 mpg on a 2008

Hey I have a 2008 ls 600. For some reason I get bad gas mileage and I don’t know why. I try so hard to not push on the peddle and it still have horrible gas mileage. I fill up premium gas. I get 14-16 mpg and I was told the car has about 1 year on the battery so it is new. Somebody help me.

On a 600 that is terrible. Not normal. I don’t recall what i used to get in mine but it was vastly greater than your 14-16.

I have a 2009 ls460 and when I want the best gas mileage I just put it on cruise control and set it to 60 on the freeway I get between 20-27 mpg

That’s bad mileage too. My 07 would get 30-31 at 70mph. Maybe tire pressure, air filters, other basic stuff might need to be checked for both of you guys.

A 600 in the city should get double that. Heck even my 460 (non hybrid obviously), gets better than that.

What method are you using to get the MPG? Are you using the car's computed MPG, or are you computing the MPG from the car's odometer differential and gas pump reading, or some other way?

My 2008 LS600hL always got 20-21 mpg around town. Yours is definitely not getting the mileage it should, especially if it has new Hybrid batteries...

On my 2015 AWD 460 I would get 14-15 city and 23-24 hwy with cruise at 80. I'll be interested to see if I do better in my 2017 because of the RWD...
