Traded my 2015 in on a 2017 LS460L

that should be really nice. I've decided that the 2016-2017 is really the way to go. The up to date infotainment with full screen nav looks so much better, plus the enter buttons on the sides of the mouse make it a little more usable. The 2016 LS press release says they added a bunch of new laser welds or adhesive or something to stiffen up the body structure - curious to see if you feel any difference from your 15.

Congrats on the trade up, Steve! Glad to see you're staying with the LS and getting one of the last of the best. That LP color is so bright and reflective it almost looks white.

My gut feeling is that the 4th gen LS will become a classic and, for now at least, the best car overall that Lexus has produced. I think based on specs the 5th gen driver will have less room in the drivers seat. I do love the V8 and feel it drives better than my former 2006 MB S430 FWIW. So congrats.

I was in the area so I took a spin through the dealers lot today to see if there was any sign of mine, nothing yet. I'm told it should be here tomorrow...we'll see! I went ahead and emptied mine out tonight, so hopefully that doesn't jinx me lol
Of course, we're supposed to have an ice storm tomorrow afternoon. Great time to trade my AWD LS in on a RWD one

I took my daughter to school on Friday because the wind chill was 0F. I put the car in snow mode, and it handles the slush and ice with no problem. I would have liked RWD, but maybe AWD wasn't such a bad thing after all

My LS400 and LS430 also had snow modes and on those cars at least absolutely no replacement for AWD lol.
The AWD system on the LS is excellent.

I test drove an '08 RWD two days before driving the '11 AWD, and I couldn't tell the difference. Maybe if I tried driving it like a sports sedan, I would notice, but that's not really what this car's all about. In luxury cruiser mode, they feel the same to me.

I had two very memorable unpleasant experiences in minimal snow/icy conditions with my RWD LS 430; not so with my AWD LS 460. The AWD 460 goes anywhere as long as you have the clearance.

Just to echo others sentiment. 2014 AWD for mine. I'm in south MN and i had slush, ice and snow for the past week about, and about -15F without wind. The systems works very well and i did not have dedicated winter tires on.

No word yet! They're trying to reach the truck driver to get a status. Frustrated.
